Since being elected to the Court of Common Council representing Broad Street Ward in 2013, Chris has been actively engaged in representing the City through policy work, delegations and charitable activity. As a previous Chairman of the Planning and Transportation Committee Chris carried responsibility for the skyline and medieval streets with work as Deputy Chairman of the Policy & Resources Committee seeing Chris leading on Housing, India, China and Civic Engagement.
This is a critical time for the City of London and its financial and professional services sectors with recovery from the pandemic in a post Brexit environment. Chris has extensive business experience in Executive and Non-Executive Director roles in the property, planning and strategic communications sectors providing a strong and direct connection with the issues and concerns of business and works hard to ensure that the business voice is represented strongly.
Chris is a natural leader. He has sought out leadership roles through which he can make a positive difference in civic, education and charitable spheres since his early 20s.

As a Trustee of The Honourable The Irish Society Chris plays a key role in maintaining links with Northern Ireland supporting charities in Londonderry and the surrounding area. He is also a Trustee and Vice Chairman of Barts Hospital Guild and a Trustee of Housing for the Homeless Central Fund.
